So, yeah I qualified for Worlds again last weekend at the Oireachtas, and I sat down and wrote a 2-pg blog about it, but then I decided nobody would understand it anyway.  But yeah, it was awesomeness.  I had a great time; I got to see all the dance buddies . . . and it was warm outside!

There's a foot of snow on the ground, I'm sick, and exams start Monday! (but I'm still happy)! Happy Holidays, everyone!

It's a FIESTA, and I'm going!!!!

Tempe . . . highlight of my Christmas break, look for me in the band.

So my entire family, the ELHS band, and the Madrigals are going to be within a few hours of me this weekend, but I'm not gonna get to see anyone.  :(  I think they should take a detour to ND and watch our band practice our Napoleon Dynamite moves to Canned Heat (part of our show for the Navy game).

In other news, there's waaaaay too much to recap, but I'm doing well -- been teaching trumpet (my student's coming to watch practice tomorrow), studying hard (papers, papers, reading, more papers), dancing (Oireachtas is in 24 days!!!), practicing piano for my crazy Russian teacher, hanging out with 'nets . . . and I gotta pick my classes for next semester.  I wanna get ahead on some things so that a double major would actually work out.

I've decided I wanna learn more musical instruments . . .

SYR tonight was sooooo much fun.  Ah, why couldn't high school dances have been more like this?  Good refreshments, my date was a good sport.  Plus a shopping spree at the Salvation Army . . . what more could anyone ask for?

So, I met a girl here from Winter Springs, FL.  She's in my musicianship class; we're sight-singing partners.  She and I have apparently sung in the same All-State choirs for the past 3 years without knowing it.  (She's a soprano).  But yeah, we were both in SATB 10th and 11th grades and sight-singing 12th.  Therefore, I can mention things like Kasar and Turn the World Around and she knows what I'm talking about.  It's really cool.  Also, she lives over by my dance class, and I think she's my roommate's best friend's roommate.  Interesting.

But anyway, I'm tired.  We're changing our band show for the MSU game to one in honor of the Katrina victims.  And my Golf P.E. class was canceled yesterday because the teacher called in sick.  That was fun.
